We have a 5km and a 12.5km Hike at Milorho Lodge
The Magaliesberg is home to the endangered Aloe Peglarae found in abundance on our farm here at Milorho Lodge. You will come across them on you hikes. We have a wide variety of species of plants and trees which the Dendrologists will delight in.
Nothing beats a swim on a scorching hot South African day! Except, perhaps, a swim in a pool that was made overtime by water from our natural spring on the farm. There are multiple rock pools along the hikes. Our favourite ones are located just a 2min easy walk from the cottages.
Go on a journey through the ecology and geology of one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world – estimated to be 2,500 million years old. Located in the Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve. The Magaliesberg Canopy Tour is on the farm next door a quick 5min drive. Please note that booking is essential.
The Pilansberg National Park is home to a brimming diversity of wildlife. Almost all of Southern Africa’s big game features around the unique geological formation called the Pilansberg Alkaline Ring Complex. Approximately an hour away, enjoy a day trip and spot the BIG FIVE!
